Client
A MarTech startup developing a content creation app for influencers, bloggers, and small businesses. The founders wanted users to turn photos and ideas into social media posts, then edit and publish the content through the same application. They approached us with the concept and needed a team to develop the product and implement its AI capabilities.
Challenges
The startup’s vision combined several tasks that users would normally complete separately: interpreting a photo, writing a caption, adding hashtags, and preparing a post for publication. The app needed to make these tasks work together while giving creators different ways to express their ideas.
Users could provide text instructions, describe a photo by voice, or ask the app to generate content from the image alone. The resulting post had to reflect the available input, use an appropriate tone, and suit the selected social platform. The product also needed a familiar interface and publishing integrations so users could continue from generation to editing, scheduling, and posting without leaving the workflow.
Solution
We developed an app that combines image recognition, speech-to-text, and generative AI to create social media content. A user can upload a photo and add written or spoken instructions. The app interprets these inputs and generates a caption with hashtags. It can also create text based on the image without additional instructions.
Users can review and edit the generated content before publishing. Connected social media accounts support immediate posting, scheduled publication, and the preparation of multiple posts.
The delivered product brings content generation and post management into one application. AI handles the initial interpretation and drafting, while users retain control over the text they choose to publish.
How We Delivered
Content Generation and Tone
We defined the app’s requirements and tested how generative AI could support the intended content workflows. We refined prompts to interpret user instructions, adapt output to different social platforms, and produce a natural tone. This work focused on making the core generation feature consistent enough to use within a complete application.
Combined Image and Voice Inputs
We integrated image recognition and speech-to-text so the app could use both visual information and spoken instructions. The development work addressed how these inputs were processed and combined into a coherent post. Coordinating the model outputs was important: the generated text needed to reflect the photo and the user’s description together.
App Experience and Social Media Integrations
We developed an interface informed by the interactions users already knew from social media applications, while preserving the product’s own design. We connected social platform APIs to support publishing and scheduling and addressed responsiveness across the workflow. Data protection and user privacy were also considered as part of the application’s requirements.
Post-Launch Support and Product Iteration
After launch, we continued with bug fixes, technical assistance, and further feature development. User feedback informed improvements to the app and its functionality. Regular reporting and communication kept the client involved in priorities as the product evolved beyond its first release.
Results
The first complete app version launched in August 2023, following approximately six months of development. The startup gained a working product that connected AI content creation with the practical steps of reviewing, scheduling, and publishing posts.
First complete version launched
The project moved from a product concept to an application supporting image, text, and voice inputs alongside social media publishing features.
Positive feedback on generated content
Users responded positively to the quality of the AI-generated text. This provided feedback on the app’s core content creation functionality.
Continued development after launch
We supported the released app and used feedback to guide bug fixes and feature improvements, giving the client a path to develop the product further.
